Luna at Spa-Francorchamps – The hidden Trophy
A Formula 1 story for young readers

About
During a race weekend at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit, the winner’s trophy suddenly disappears, turning what should have been a celebration into a quiet mystery.
Luna, a young girl visiting the track, finds herself drawn into the search. As she moves through grandstands, garages and hidden corners of the circuit, she begins to uncover small clues, bigger questions about who belongs in this world, and why.
Set against the atmosphere of one of motorsport’s most legendary tracks, Luna at Spa is a story about curiosity, courage and the unexpected ways a single moment can change everything.

This story began with a simple question: what would a race weekend look like through the eyes of a child who isn’t part of the race itself? Instead of focusing on drivers or results, I wanted to explore the unnoticed side of the circuit: the waiting, the wandering, and the quiet moments between the noise. From that idea, Luna appeared: a curious girl moving through a place that feels enormous, exciting and slightly out of reach.
I chose a girl as the protagonist because children who love cars and racing do not always see themselves at the centre of these stories (mostly females), even though they are very much part of the audience. Here, that perspective is simply taken as natural.
The project was developed as a piece specifically inspired by and for Spa-Francorchamps, designed to reflect the atmosphere and identity of the circuit itself. From writing to editing and printing, the book was produced independently as a small, carefully crafted work. Something closer to a personalised creation than a mass-market publication.
Written for young readers who enjoy mystery and discovery, the story follows how a single unexpected event can transform an ordinary visit into an adventure, guided by observation rather than speed.
